Text:
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston purchases several acres of land for millions of dollars. The size of the MFAH campus triples. Buildings are razed, trees cut down, the land is cleared. Burial plots are made available. A rigorous acceptance process by a distinguished panel of non-artists determines who's in, who's out. Becomes destination for tourists. Education programs are developed. Admission is charged.
